PRIVACY POLICY
I am based in the United States. My website is built on Wix. Wix.com Ltd. is based in Israel, which is considered by the European Commission to be offering an adequate level of protection for the Personal Information of EU Member State residents. According to Wix’ privacy policy, they also operate data centers in other parts of the world, including the United States of America, Ireland, South Korea and Taiwan.
I have no influence over Wix’ policies or practices in this regard. I have no desire to collect anything other than usage data, which Wix does for me. Wix’ Privacy Policy can be found here.
What personal data I collect and why I collect it
I provide you with this page and use Wix to make sure it stays secure.
I get statistics from Wix to see if I succeeded in doing so.
Legal basis to collect and process personal data:
- Your consent to receive my page and
- my legitimate interests in maintaining the security of my page and fulfilling my legal duty to keep the page secure.
I do not store personal data used for traffic analysis (such as your IP address).
Comments
I haven’t activated any comment function on the site. If I ever do, when visitors leave comments on the site (most likely the Blog page), I would collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address.

Embedded content from other websites
Some pages on this site include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves the exact same way as if the visitor visited the other website. If you follow a link to a third-party page, you will be redirected to this other page; you are then subject to the privacy policy of this third party. I currently cannot guarantee these third parties’ compliance with the GDPR – but I might be working on it!

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who I share your data with
Nobody outside of those who can publish on this site. Visitor comments, if activated, may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
How long I retain your data
If I ever activate the Blog comment feature and you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata would be retained for a specific period of time, which I would specify in this policy. This would be so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
If I activate a feature where users register on my website, I would also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users would then see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators would also see and edit that information. All this is currently not the case.

What rights you have over your data
You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided to me. You can also request that I erase any personal data I hold about you. This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Please request by contacting me directly via email or the contact form on this website.
